It's been awhile since I have blogged but I'm going to start blogging more. I had the pleasure of shooting this wedding last weekend. Paul and Kari are such a lovely couple and I wish them a lifetime of happiness. They're so perfectly matched. Enjoy the video!

"Things happen in life for a reason"... this is always what we say to people. Basically it's the polite way of saying your having a terrible experience now but eventually you will understand why this has happened.
Many people said this to me when I left my wonderful job in Lincoln, CA teaching music in a beautiful suburbia school. My husband had yet another job transfer and a great opportunity for him to work in Miami, Fl at the National Hurricane Center. I was six months pregnant and completely unaware as to what the next few months would bring to us. Nevertheless, it was not easy and quite honestly it still isn't. My husband and I are constantly thinking what if we had not moved... (living life in the rear view mirror).
Lately, I have been reflecting on the last year and found that perhaps the saying "Things happen in life for a reason" is true. I stayed home full time with my son Kaiden since he was born. I have watch every "first" milestone and he has had the comfort of growing up with this parents and not a daycare. In addition to staying home with Kaiden which I could not have done in a teaching situation I have found a new love... Photography.
Photography has taken me to a world of escape and to a world of peacefulness. I am in the process of starting my own business and loving it. This is the ONLY job I can do that will always work around my husbands schedule. I am finally finding happiness in the saying "Things happen in life for a reason".
Although I will always be passionate about Music Education and the importance of the teaching music to the developing child. I am happy to say that I have found another passion for the inner child in me... Just looking at life through a different lens.
